After our successful sellout gig at South Hill Park in Bracknell it was onto the other side of the M4 to Bristol. We had our work cut out in putting together 2 x 45 minute sets so after a few intense rehearsals we sorted out the songs and running order.
The venue was The Stoke Inn in Chew Stoke and after setting up our brand new PA system and some feedback issues we were ready to rock!
So after a meal from the shake a stack menu (whatever that means) and a few bevvies it was ready to start at 8.15pm. The first set had a few new songs including our own song written by Colin our guitarist called Those Lies, My Hero which went well and we finished with Sharp Dressed Man which went down a storm.
The second set was packed heavy with our crowd pleasers and included our guest singer, Abbi, singing You Outta Know by Alanis Morissette and the crowd thought it was better than the Glastonbury version! A triple wham of Anarchy in the Uk, Vertigo and Running down a dream sent the crowd into a frenzy so Abbi was brought on again to finish our set.
Feedback overall was very positive and we have a few enquiries to play at other venues and Abbi has joined the M-Four for further gigs so watch this space.
Thanks to everyone who attended and see you all soon.
Keep rocking, Greeny x
